Within Time (2020)

Departing from Monteverdi's Lamento della Ninfa, Within Time is a performance that reflects on the shock and deep sorrow stemming from abruptly broken promises. A sudden new truth emerges. The performance connects different feelings people experienced during the lockdown period: anger, relief, resignation, breathlessness and grief. The singers, the musicians and the dancer give solitary emotions a place in a larger whole, and over the course of the performance, different pieces of music grow together into one score.
