About house of makers
House of Makers is a Netherlands-based, interdisciplinary arts foundation specializing in performative work.
They explore the boundaries between various disciplines through installations, live performances, and film--treating any stage as a site-specific location. House of Makers is fascinated by the role of the performer and its relation to the audience. Displacing expectations between disciplines, the performers and the audience, they continuously explore what it means to collaborate. Their work leans on live performance and has an inquisitive quality.
In 2012, Peter Leung, Sterre van Rossem and Matthew Pawlicki-Sinclair founded House of Makers as a company. In 2020, Brigitte van Hagen joined the core-team, and House of Makers became a foundation, officially headed by Peter Leung.
