Brigitte van Hagen (soprano) will be performing with Robbrecht van Cauwenberghe (bajan).
Recently during their first project together there was a beautiful musical connection. Both performers have a great love for the theatre that is within the discipline of music.
Both bel canto guilty pleasures are on the program, as well as a compelling tango and famous folk songs by Ravel.
The sound of the Bajan and Brigitte’s voice together elicits a feeling of love and deep melancholy. The combination of these instruments and artists, with the beautiful music, and surrounded by nature will be a very special concert at Festival der Aa.

Departing from Monteverdi's Lamento della Ninfa, WITHIN TIME is a performance that reflects on the shock and deep sorrow stemming from abruptly broken promises. A sudden new truth emerges. The performance connects different feelings that people experienced during the period of lockdown; anger, relief, resignation, breathlessness and grief. The singers, the musicians and the dancer give solitary emotions a place in a larger whole and during the performance different pieces of music grow together into one score.
